James Nell

James is the primary contact for the majority of the firm’s rural clients but also acts for a number of commercial businesses. James specialises in the unique challenges and tax situations that face family farms and larger equity partnership farming operations. He is originally from a 1,100 hectare sheep farm in the Rakaia Gorge where his family still farms. The combination of his farm upbringing, working on farms and his interest in agriculture generally give James a solid understanding of farming businesses.
James has a four wheel drive and a pair of gumboots and takes any opportunity to attend field days or visit farming clients on their properties. Outside the office James enjoys spending time with his family as well as admiring Canterbury from the air having recently completed his private pilot's licence. |
